How to Use Analytics

Get the most out of your performance data.

1

Access Your Dashboard

Go to Dashboard → Analytics from any event. You'll see an overview of all key metrics for that event.

2

Filter by Date Range

Use the date picker to view metrics for specific time periods. Compare this week vs. last week, or track performance since launch.

3

Drill Into Channels

Click any channel (Email, Social, Affiliates) to see detailed breakdowns. See exactly which campaign or affiliate drove each sale.

4

Export Your Data

Click Export to download reports as CSV or PDF. Great for sharing with your team or for tax records.

Understanding Attribution

Attribution tells you which marketing touchpoint gets credit for a sale. BrightStar offers multiple attribution models:

First Touch

Credits the first channel that brought the visitor

Last Touch

Credits the last channel before purchase

Multi-Touch

Distributes credit across all touchpoints (Amplify plan)

Troubleshooting

Sales not showing in dashboard

Data updates in real-time, but there may be a few seconds delay. If sales still don't appear after a minute, check that the event is correctly linked to your dashboard.

Attribution shows “Unknown”

This happens when a visitor blocks cookies or uses private browsing. About 5-10% of traffic may show as unknown source.

Email metrics not updating

Email opens are tracked via pixel, which some email clients block. Click metrics are more reliable. Allow up to an hour for full reporting.

ROAS calculation seems off

Make sure you've entered your ad spend correctly in the campaign settings. ROAS is calculated as Revenue ÷ Ad Spend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Email campaigns, Facebook/Instagram ads, Google ads, affiliate links, SMS/WhatsApp campaigns, and organic traffic. All channels flow into one unified dashboard.
